Laudemio meets the haute italian cuisine.
To spread our product’s awareness, the Consortium set up a contest addressed to important chefs who work in the italian area. They will become true ambassadors of our quality agricultural culture.
The Laudemio contest has been presented to the press on December 1st 2016 at the Milan Felix Lo Basso Restaurant.
The contest, presided over by Fausto Arrighi, long-time food critic and Michelin Guide’s head director for 35 years, is made up by eight “legs”: eight dinners at just as many prestigious italian restaurants where the audience can take part too.
On January 25th 2017 there will be the first soirée at the Aroma Restaurant, guided by the chef Giuseppe di Iorio and hosted at Palazzo Manfredi in Rome; on Febraury 15th it’s time for chef Agostino Iacobucci and its I Portici Restaurant in Bologna; then, on March 1st, it’s Tuscany’s time, Laudemio’s homeland, at the Florence Ora d’Aria Restaurant with chef Marco Stabile‘s creations.
On March 14th the contest will arrive at the Turin Magorabin Restaurant hosted by chef Marcello Trentini.
The first scheduled Milan dinner will take place on May 3rd at the Sushi B Restaurant with the culinary interpretations of the japanese chef Nobuya Niimori. On May 11th chef Salvatore Bianco will propose its menu at the Romeo Hotel’s Il Comandante Restaurant in Naples; the second dinner in Milan there will be at the Vun Restaurant (Park Hyatt Hotel) with the executive chef Andrea Aprea on May 25th.
The tour will end on June 7th in Venice at the Antinoo’s Lounge & Restaurant (Centurion Palace Hotel) guided by chef Massimo Livan.
At the end of the eight “legs” the jury will vote for the best three courses (an entrée, a first course and a main course). The winner chefs will prepare their creations in occasion of the gala dinner again in the beautiful Milan during the autumn 2017.
